Panasonic KX-UT670 named 2011 Internet Telephony Product of the Year
The Smart Desk SIP Phone offers many flexible features and applications

Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, a leading provider of small business phone systems, recently announced that the KX-UT670 Smart Desk SIP Phone has been given the 2011 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award by TMC, a global media company.
The KX-UT670 comes with a high-quality video (H.264/720P) viewer and the ability to connect with 16 security cameras. It also has a 7-inch LCD touchscreen that provides simplified access to phone features and applications. In addition, the KX-UT670 uses a Linux-based operating system that allows companies to develop smart phone applications to meet their specific needs.
This combination of features gives the KX-UT670 numerous security features. Store managers can monitor customers for criminal behavior through their desk phone, and school faculty can watch live video of emergency situations that suddenly occur in classrooms. The phone can also be used for non-security functions, such as letting hospital staff change the temperature of a room or unlocking the doors from a remote location.
Rich Tehrani, the CEO of TMC, released a short public statement about the accolade. He stated, "I am happy to grant Panasonic a Product of the Year Award. The editors of INTERNET TELEPHONE have verified that KX-UT670 SIP phone displays quality and innovation plus provides real solutions in the marketplace. I would like to congratulate the entire team at Panasonic for their commitment to advancing IP communication technologies."
